Red Side Interviews #9 : Ukuphambana

I spent some time recently catching up with Christian D (of Technology Scum & Red Side) for his interview series, talking about old times and early days, as well as schemes and plans for the future.  Many head-thoughts were thunk and mouth-words were said and yours truly.  You can hear them here :

The rest of the Red Side Interview series is great, too!  Check it out.

NoDAPL Noise Compilation

I contributed a new Ukuphambana track, Under The River to the NoDAPL Noise compilation being distributed by Chthonic Streams. All proceeds to benefit the efforts of the Sioux tribe at Standing Rock in their ongoing resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline.

You can buy the compilation at its bandcamp page. 50 tracks, 3.5 hours of Noise, Power Electronics, Rhythmic Noise, Noiseambient, and HNW.

Online web zine Heathen Harvest has reviewed the compilation here, and the review also includes a brief summary of the resistance movement and what’s behind it all.

If you like noise, or clean water, or don’t like militarized police brutality, or do support native rights, you might enjoy this compilation. I highly recommend picking it up.
